HINCHINBROOK FISHING FESTIVAL 2025

October 1 - October 4

 2025 ANSA QLD FISHING FESTIVAL will be hosted by the Hinchinbrook Sportfishing Club.

Wednesday 1st October
Meet & greet starts at 5pm at Borello Park BBQ shelter (Northern end of
Bruce parade, Lucinda).
Info for the weekend’s fishing competition will be provided as well as a
briefing on what’s biting, where to find them and local boating & fishing
facilities. A sausage sizzle will be provided for registered participants.
(BYO drinks & chairs).

Thursday 2nd October
Fishing commences at 5am with anglers having the opportunity to fish
overnight if they wish.
The Hinchinbrook region offers world class inshore and offshore fishing
opportunities with a huge variety of species on offer… you just never know
what might jump on the end of your line!

Friday 3rd October
After a day’s fishing and sightseeing around Hinchinbrook have a shower
and freshen up before heading over to the Lucinda Hotel for the QLD
Sportfishers Presentations Dinner at 6pm.
The cost of the meal is covered in the weekend’s registration fee.

Saturday 4th October
Lines out at 11am and all entries must be with the officials before 12pm.
Weigh-in, presentations and AGM will all be held at the Hinchinbrook Sportfishing
clubhouse (Ingham Showgrounds, Cooper Street, Ingham).
While participants wait for officials to announce the winners lunch will be provided
(non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase).
The QLD Sportfishers AGM will follow presentations, after which the Hinchinbrook
Sportfishing Festival will officially close.

Dungeness Ramp (1min from Lucinda)
4 lane sheltered concrete ramp, 2 pontoons, washdown bay,
bitumen car park, suitable for boats up to 10m, access to
Hinchinbrook channel, Palm Island group and offshore reefs.

Mona Ramp (10min from Lucinda)
1 lane sheltered gravel ramp, no pontoon or washdown bay,
dirt/grass car park, suitable for boats up to 5m with access to
the Herbert River and Hinchinbrook channel.

Taylors Beach Ramp (15min from Lucinda) 2 lane semi-sheltered concrete ramp, no pontoons, washdown
bay, bitumen car park, suitable for boats up to 6m, access to the
Victoria creek, Palm Island group, and Halifax Bay.

Fishers Creek Ramp (25min from Lucinda) 1 lane sheltered concrete ramp, no pontoons or washdown bay,
dirt/grass car park, suitable for boats up to 5m, access to
Hinchinbrook channel.

Forrest Beach Ramp (30min from Lucinda) 1 lane open beach concrete ramp, no pontoons, washdown
bay, bitumen car park, suitable for boats up to 6m, access to the
Palm Island group and Halifax Bay.

Cardwell Ramp (45min from Lucinda)
(Marina) 2 lane sheltered concrete ramp, 1 pontoon, no washdown bay,
bitumen car park, suitable for boats up to 6m, access to
Hinchinbrook channel and Missionary Bay.
