HOST CLUB:  

The Bundaberg Sportfishing Club is hosting this year’s ANSA QLD Southern Interclub Challenge and we invite all ANSA member to join us for what will be a great weekend!

The event is designed to be a social fishing experience for all ages where members from ANSA clubs can get together and share their passion for fishing. We also encourage members to bring along family and friends to enjoy the weekend with and promote the spirit of ANSA.  And of course, there will be fishing prizes up for grabs as well as the opportunity for your club to compete for the prestigious Champion Club Trophy.

SCHEDULE:

Friday 1st May 2026

6pm:   Meet & Greet dinner at Burnett Head Lighthouse Pub (self-funded by attendees).

Saturday 2nd May 2026

6am:   Start Fishing!

Sunday 3rd May 2026

Keep Fishing!

Monday 4th May 

11am:   Stop Fishing

12pm (Midday):   Fish capture registration (weighin), BBQ and presentations at the Picnic Sheds adjacent to Burnett Heads Boat Ramp.

THE CHALLENGE:

This year’s challenge will include the following categories…

• Most number of species captured (must be ANSA QLD minimum size)
• Champion Club (best 5 fish)
• Mystery scores – Coastal and Freshwater species (as determined by officials)

Don’t forget this is the same weekend as the ANSA QLD Statewide Species Challenge… why not kill 2 birds by entering your fish into both events!

COST:

ANSA Members:   Adults – $15         Juniors: $10

Non-Members:     Adults – $25          Juniors – $15

Kids (up to 5yrs): Free
