A.N.S.A. Qld State Titles

A.N.S.A. Qld holds the State Titles twice each year with the Winter Titles fast approaching us (17th – 18th May). This is one of the few competitions, within A.N.S.A. that I can feel passionate about as it allows me to fish competitively against all the other A.N.S.A. Qld members on an even footing. The State Titles allow for me to fish my own local waters where I have gained the knowledge of fish movements etc to give me the best chance of coming up with the goods over that particular weekend. This is the same for all the other members who can fish in their local waters to best suit their fishing style and species availability so it comes down to a far more accurate measure of an anglers ability.

This can be taken further in that a great competition can be built up within your own club when individual teams of three start participating against each other in common surroundings to see which is the best team in the club and taking it further by seeing which individual is the best fisher within the team.

I know that I am competitive, but then aren’t we all in some way, and know that I am always going to fish to the best of my ability to try to beat my other team members in the boat. They are, of course, trying to do the same to me so it is only natural that we will all fish hard to come up with the win and this brings its own rewards in bragging rights if you can beat your teammates. As a team the same bragging rights apply when your team is the best in the club and so on up the line to the individual and team winners on a State level.

If you have never fished the State Titles or thought what’s the point I can’t win think again because just by competing you are already a winner and the rest is just the cream on top and who’s to say you won’t come up with a State win, I have so anything’s possible.
