4 Vehicles for New 406 EPERB's

It has now been released that under the registration of your new 406 EPERB that you can register up to 4 vehicles.

This can be any combination of Boats, Cars and Aeroplanes.

It is strongly recommended that everyone check the Australian Maritime Safety Authority website http://beacons.amsa.gov.au

From 1st November by law all vessels need to have the new 400MHz beacons.

121.5 MHz distress beacons will no longer be detected by satellite after 1 February 2009. Switch to a digital 406 MHz distress beacon now.

Unwanted beacons can now be disposed of at no cost by placing them in collection bins in any of the Battery World stores around Australia.

From 1st July you can register your 406 MHz distress beacon online with AMSA to assist the search and rescue response.
