Brisbane Sportfishing Club inc.    resize Of New Bsfc Logo

The Brisbane Sportfishing Club (BSFC) has Members all over the greater Brisbane Area as well as the Sunshine Coast and as far away as Darwin. A well established Club, the Brisbane Sportfishing Club has been around for about 35 years and attracts a very broad range of Members from Tagging and Soft Plastics Secialists to Novices and Families. The BSFC has people who fish with Braid along with Line Class Fishermen/people. Some Members fish ultra light gear down to 1kg tackle, others are into light Game Fishing. Some Members are into it all. Freshwater, Estuary, Bay and Offshore. BSFC caters to all tastes with the widest possible range of Trips, Workshops & Guest Speakers. Thre is no snobery - some Members have Boats some do not. Some have big boats and some are very small - all are welcolme. The Club puts a strong emphasis on the Social side of Club life with BBQ's on away trips, a Party at Xmas and a Dinner for our Presentation Night. Making new friends and chatting with others is one of the main benefits of Membership. The Club is also actively involved with Tagging and assisting in Scientific research with the DPI and also runs a Kids Adventure Fishing Day Clinic with theory and practical in conjuction with the Sunfish organisation. Each year the BSFC also holds an Annual Inter-Club Competition where we act as hosts and invite other Clubs to come and compete and socialise over the weekend. Read 2007 Report.

Whether you're competative or not, just want to catch a feed or take your Fishing very seriously and learn all you can - there is room for everyone and you'll be welcolme at the BSFC.
