About Me
I am currently the Events Co-ordinator on the ANSA Qld State Executive. Over the last eight years on the executive I have worked with and formed some enduring friendships.
I joined ANSA in 1979 via the Collinsville Sport-fishing Club at their famous May Day fishing Comp held at Terrible Creek on the Bowen River.
I enjoyed the competive style of fishing and now only compete in the odd competition. I am now more interested in just going fishing and enjoying the surrounds with most of the fish being released now days. I still enjoy a feed of fish from time to time and take a few fish for the table.
The most rewarding part of fishing is enjoying the company of my friends and family which ANSA fosters. These friendships are made with people from all over the state at the annual conference held in Yeppoon. Here you have the opportunity to form friendships and gain knowledge about the fishery and policies that effect the fishery.
I am a very keen flyfisherman and this passion for this style of fishing has led me travel to many interesting places around the world including Christmas Island, Montana USA, New Zealand, New Guinea and Argentina.
