ANSA Qld 2007 Field Workshop and State Wide ConferenceSPONSORSHIP DETAILSThe ANSA Qld Executive invites all clubs to nominate delegates and visitors to attend this year’s Field Workshop, State Wide Conference and State Council Meeting.
To be conducted in the completely new surrounds of the Cool Waters Holiday Village, the ANSA Qld Executive have compiled an exciting new program that is designed around the conference theme of “Strength through Science”. The program activities are outlined below:
· Field Workshop – Electro Fishing Hedlow Creek, Friday 24 th August 2007. · Meet ‘n Greet Social Gathering, Friday Evening 24 th August 2007. · State Conference - Saturday Morning, 25 th August 2007. · ANSA Qld Annual General Meeting – Saturday Afternoon, 25 th August 2007 · BBQ and ANSA Qld Presentations, Saturday Evening, 25 th August 2007 · State Council Meeting - Sunday Morning, 26 th August 2007.
To encourage membership participation in the Field Workshop and State Conference, the ANSA Qld Executive have secured sponsorship from the Queensland Department of Primary Industries and Fisheries for 2 nights accommodation and meals for nominated delegates from each club.
What does this mean for your club?
ANSA Qld has been allocated funds to sponsor one nominated representative from each club to the value of $104.00 for accommodation and meals to attend the Workshop and State Conference.
ANSA Qld and the Keppel Bay Sportfishing Club have put together a combination of cost effective packages of different levels of accommodation, (inclusive of all meals). ANSA Qld, with the sponsorship from DPI&F, is offering one member from each club the opportunity to attend the workshop and conference at a significantly reduced cost.
What does the Sponsored Delegate do?
All ANSA Qld affiliated clubs are entitled to send one delegate to per 50 members (or part there of) to represent their club at the Annual General Meeting and State Council Meeting.
ANSA Qld is providing a cost effective opportunity for clubs to send their delegate/s to attend the Field Workshop and State Conference to gain knowledge on the subjects presented, so they can pass this knowledge on to the membership of the club when they return. This sponsorship also makes it cost effective for the delegate to attend the Annual General Meeting and State Council Meeting.
What if our club does not send a sponsored delegate?
The ANSA Qld Executive would prefer all clubs were represented at this event, however we realise this is not always possible for various reasons, so ANSA Qld would like to encourage clubs to reassign their allocated sponsored position to other clubs in their region to encourage inter club participation.
ANSA Qld is encouraging clubs that can not send a delegate to talk with the other clubs in their region to see if they could use their sponsored position to send another delegate, with the concept that this person will be the proxy delegate for the sponsoring club and that this person would report back to the sponsoring club on the events and outcomes of the weekend.
If a club can not send a delegate or sponsor a proxy delegate from their region, the club shall sign the right of sponsorship back to the ANSA Qld Executive, who will reassign this sponsorship to the most appropriate club to ensure the best outcome for ANSA.
Who can be a Sponsored Delegate?
Any fully paid member of an affiliated ANSA Qld Club can be a sponsored delegate. To encourage membership participation at this event from more club members, the ANSA Qld Executive are being considered separately and as such preference will not be given to executive members being a clubs sponsored delegate for this offer.
What levels of accommodation are available?
Cool
Waters Holiday Village
has a range of accommodation styles to suit individuals, groups, couples and families.

Shared accommodation is in dormitory or lodge style (rooms with a max of 4 persons).

3 Star Family Units - consist of 1 bedroom and single bed or bunk style accommodation in the lounge / dining. 4 person share accommodation makes these a cost attractive option to lodge style accommodation.

4 Star Deluxe Units Family – consist of 2 bedrooms with a variety of bedding options. 4 person share accommodation makes these a cost attractive option for a group, couples or families.
·
Studio Villas – 1 Room / en-suite. These are suitable for couples or New 2 Room / Bathroom 1 Queen, 2 sets of Bunks .
How much will the weekend cost?
As a guide, the table below outlines the cost comparisons for the most common durations of stay for individuals on a per share basis, (including all meals).
All Bookings for the ANSA Event
must be made through the
Secretary of ANSA Qld
. Accommodation will be booked on a first reserved option, and outstanding money is required to be paid before the weekend. Cancellation rules will apply as per Coolwater’s Policy.
